All I can say about this hike is stunning. Two pictures weren’t enough to show you so we added 4 so you can really let your imagines run wild. Our trusted guide will take you south reaching about 1300 meters before coming down over the mountain that is situated directly opposite our guesthouse. You will rest by this lovely river for lunch and if you are brave enough you can even go skinny dipping in the fresh clean river. You will then head east where you can see tea plantations on your left and sub tropical rain forest on your right before heading your way to lake Mousekelle. From there you will start cutting right through the tea plantations and start heading back to base. Your last part of the hike will be running along the lake and tea plantations above on your right. This is a very long hike and best not done the day before you want to climb the peak. It will take you about 7 hours and you won’t to do anything but rest the next day. I actually found this more tiring than climbing the peak but this was my first hike when I arrived.
