We have just installed the latest technology in weather data electronics so you really can predict what the weather will be like for sunrise. We are going to kick our dear mother out of bed at 6 am every morning to check to see if it is cloudy or not! It really is in the hands of the Gods. I spent two weeks in Aug watching the weather and it is really nice some days and cloudy on others. Don’t listen to guide books or people saying the peak is closed as it is where the sacred footprint is locked in low season and the path is still open but need a torch. I prefer to go in the day in the low season and wait a couple of days for break in weather. There are other hikes while you wait. Best to think like this. First, it is a great achievement to climb Adam’s Peak. Second, it is amazing how they would want to build this place so high up. Third, if you see the sunrise in the low season it’s an added bonus. |
